Overview
Aria Kian is an Articling Student with experience in immigration, personal injury, and administrative law. Prior to joining the firm, he developed a broad legal foundation by assisting with matters before the Federal Court of Canada as a law student, where he prepared applications for leave and judicial review, drafted legal memoranda and written submissions, conducted legal research, and supported clients in a variety of immigration matters, including humanitarian and compassionate applications, temporary resident permits, and inadmissibility issues.
While completing his Juris Doctor at Osgoode Hall Law School, Aria gained experience across several areas of legal practice. He assisted with personal injury litigation as a summer law student by preparing settlement proposals, drafting legal submissions and internal memoranda, maintaining litigation files, and communicating with clients, insurance representatives, and opposing counsel throughout the claims process. He also built on his organizational and leadership skills through operational roles at burgeoning businesses in academic consulting and data analytics, where he managed client files, coordinated cross-functional projects, and contributed to the development of internal processes.
Prior to law school, Aria earned a Bachelor of Science (Honours), with Distinction, in Biomedical Sciences, with a minor in Psychology, from Toronto Metropolitan University. His professional experience included project coordination, contract and proposal support, client relations, and business development.
Aria brings to his practice strong research, writing, and analytical skills, together with a practical, client-focused approach to resolving complex legal issues.
