Overview
Nahid Atrchin is an associate at Rochon Genova whose practice focuses on civil sexual abuse and assault claims and Indigenous rights matters. She is committed to advocating for survivors of sexual abuse in claims against individuals, institutions, and religious organizations, and also acts for First Nations on complex constitutional, regulatory, and transactional matters.
Before joining Rochon Genova, Nahid worked at the Ministry of the Attorney General, Crown Law Office – Civil, where she represented the provincial government in a broad range of civil litigation. Her prior experience included Crown liability matters, class actions, complex personal injury files, and Indigenous claims, and she attended a variety of hearings in those matters.
Nahid holds an LL.M. in Canadian Common Law from Osgoode Hall Law School and was called to the Law Society of Ontario in June 2022. Before qualifying in Ontario, she was called to the Iranian Central Bar Association in July 2013 and practised both as an associate and as a sole practitioner in Iran. Her work there included trials in estate litigation involving multi-party intestacy claims, prosecution of construction fraud cases, and appearances in both civil and criminal courts, including appeals and matters before the Supreme Court of Iran.
Nahid brings to her practice substantial trial and appellate experience developed across jurisdictions, together with a strong commitment to client advocacy. Outside of her legal practice, she is an avid yoga practitioner, enjoys horseback riding, and is a former member of the Polo Federation of Iran.
