Overview
Peter Ivanyi is a partner at Rochon Genova whose practice focuses on immigration and refugee law as well as family law. He joined the firm in 2000 and has developed an advocacy-based practice centered on representing clients in complex immigration, refugee, and family matters.
Peter regularly appears before the Immigration and Refugee Board, the Federal Court, and various Superior and Ontario Courts of Justice. His broad tribunal and court experience reflects a practical and client-focused litigation practice across multiple areas of high-stakes personal legal matters.
Peter received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto and an LL.B. from the University of Manitoba. He was called to the Ontario bar in 1996 and has remained active in the profession through his involvement in legal organizations connected to family, immigration, and refugee law.
