Pritpal Mann

Biography

Pritpal Mann is an associate working primarily with the class action team. He has acted on a variety of class actions, multi-plaintiff actions and individual actions, including matters involving institutional abuse and negligence, securities misrepresentations, consumer protection, and professional negligence. He has appeared in motions, appeals and at trial before Ontario courts, as well as on motions before the Superior Court of Québec.

During law school, Pritpal sought out many volunteer opportunities to assist vulnerable and marginalized members of society. He provided legal representation to low-income tenants facing expedited eviction proceedings. He assisted dozens of immigrants apply for and obtain citizenship. He drafted testamentary wills for army veterans, provided legal presentations to at-risk youth, and worked with the Pro Bono Students Canada Radio Project to develop a podcast focused on access to justice concerns that arose during the pandemic. Pritpal’s volunteer work earned him the Perkins Coie Diversity and Inclusion Award.

Pritpal was called to the bar in 2023. He articled and summered at Rochon Genova. Pritpal holds a Juris Doctor (JD) from Western Law and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Victoria.

Through these experiences, Pritpal has developed a passion for protecting civil liberties, delivering access to justice to vulnerable and marginalized members of society and taking on complex matters.
