
Rabita Sharfuddin
Associate
Biography
Rabita Sharfuddin is an associate in Rochon Genova’s class actions practice group. She has experience litigating complex consumer protection, product liability, securities and negligence class actions.
Rabita regularly appears before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and has assisted with matters before the Ontario Court of Appeal. She has experience with internal investigations and matters before the Ontario Securities Commission and the British Columbia Securities Commission. Rabita has also represented clients in professional disciplinary proceedings.
Prior to joining Rochon Genova, Rabita practiced at two national full-service law firms where she represented corporations, directors and officers, and individuals in commercial disputes.
Rabita is passionate about access to justice and volunteers with the Pro Bono Ontario Free Legal Advice Hotline. She is also a mentor at the Lincoln Alexander School of Law, Toronto Metropolitan University. She is a member of the South Asian Bar Association, The Advocates’ Society and Young Women in Law.
Rabita was called to the Ontario Bar in 2019. She has a Juris Doctor (JD) (cum laude) from the University of Ottawa and a Bachelor of Public Affairs and Policy Management from Carleton University.
