Sara Nagalingam

Overview

Sara Nagalingam is a partner in Rochon Genova’s personal injury group. She brings plaintiff-side litigation experience in personal injury matters and has developed a practice grounded in advocacy, client service, and a strong commitment to access to justice.

Before joining Rochon Genova, Sara articled and practised with a boutique personal injury firm in Toronto. That experience provided her with an early foundation in personal injury litigation and helped shape her practical, client-focused approach to advocacy.

Sara holds a common law degree from the University of Windsor and a civil law degree from the University of Ottawa. During her studies, she participated in several advocacy competitions, including the Zuber Moot Competition, the Hicks Morley Labour & Employment Moot Competition, the Koskie Minsky Diversity Moot Competition, and the Bora Laskin Bilingual Moot Competition. She also attended L’Université du Québec à Montréal on academic exchange during the third year of her common law studies.

As the recipient of the University of Windsor Law Social Justice Fellowship in 2010, Sara worked at Equitas, an international human rights education organization in Montreal. She also acted as an advocate with Legal Assistance of Windsor, representing clients before the Social Benefits Tribunal and the Landlord and Tenant Board, and volunteered with the Legal Information Clinic at McGill University. Before law school, she earned an Honours Bachelor Degree in Management and Organization Studies from the University of Western Ontario. Outside her practice, she enjoys travelling and spending time with her children.
